2005 Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire

Below are a few pictures from my trip to the Renaissance Faire held every year in Pennsylvania.  Great fun was had.  The actors/employees were wonderfully fun, each acting out his or her role with enthusiasm!  I found myself getting so engrossed in the atmosphere (and my four year old spawn) that I didn't get anywhere near as many pictures as I would have liked.  Despite some witty (or not so witty ;-D ) remarks, everyone was wonderful, and politely allowed me to do the tourist thing as I snapped a few photos.  I would certainly recommend that anyone that could make it to this Faire, try to do so.  They have different weekends most of the Spring - Autumn, and it is something I look forward to returning to next year.  Perhaps even dressed up myself... ;-D

Walking in we were greeted by a stage with Dancing Gypsy girls.  These women certainly were impressive, exceedingly talented and the perfect way to begin the day!

Even though it was the Scottish Weekend, not many men wore kilts.  But it was refreshing watching some get into the festivities!  You can even check out another Man in a kilt.  He looked surprised I asked for his picture, but smiled and let me take one.  (Follow LINK to pic - for those that do not enjoy seeing piercings)

Look at the size of that Statue!  Does Size really matter?

There may not have been many Kilts...but seeing Jack smile down was verra nice!  Pirates, in search of more booty?  Well, they certainly were all around the Faire this weekend!  I wonder if they found what they were looking for.

I think he's found something to stake his claim on!

A very talented woman, she could cut the tip off of items (I think they were feathers) with her whip!

And of course what is a trip back to the Renaissance without Ye Olde Kissing Bridge?
